OUR STORY
Our coffee fields are in MINCA, a village in Santa Marta, Colombia, nestled at the foot of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
This is where mountainous conditions and the influence of the warm Caribbean breeze come together, making it the perfect place for a unique experience of flora and fauna, yielding great tourism and productivity for the community.
Many years ago, in the 19th century, a family discovered the geographical benefits of this village and made the decision to develop the first coffee fields in Minca. Obviously, this discovery didn’t remain a secret for long, as it reached the ears of other families of the time.
Embrace Our Tradition
Families passionate about coffee and dazzled by the region’s unique climatic conditions made coffee production a hallmark of the town to this day.
And to our fortune, the Valaguera family was one of those pioneers, as they have been committed to the conservation of the land they inherited and to the community for over 40 years.
It is within this heritage that our coffee grows, under the cover of the imposing shadow of the Sierra and the caresses of the Caribbean breeze.Nestled in the majestic mountains of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, our El Recreo coffee farm is an oasis of aromas, flavors, sounds, and unique experiences.

Located in the magical department of Magdalena, specifically in the Vereda del Oriente of a small but fruitful district called Minca, which is located in the beautiful Pearl of the Caribbean, that is, the city of Santa Marta.
You’ll be able to visit us soon! And enjoy a tour of our plantations, where you’ll learn about the coffee cultivation and harvesting process, tasting it with the backdrop of the sunrise over the Sierra.
